Here’s a term you should know.  It refers to your right to defend yourself in your home and in some states anywhere that you can legally ‘be’.  Big surprise that Illinois isn’t one of those states.  Illinois has what is considered to be a weak castle doctrine.  I’ve provided a link to the wikipedia article on the subject.  If you go to the bottom of the page there you’ll see a link to Illinois’ legal verbiage.  Click here and learn.
